Strictly Team Dancing

Like all Quest’s indoor team building activities, one of the main advantages with Strictly Team Dancing is that it is weather proof. Whilst delegates are not exposed to the wind, rain and frost, they are exposed to all of the team building lessons and messages that form the core of everything Quest delivers. Once again ballroom dancing is the current 'must-do' activity. Not only can ballroom dancing enable delegates to take part in some really healthy physical activity, but they can learn a great deal about themselves and their team whilst so doing:

  • Trust
  • Communication
  • Working together
  • Supporting one another
  • Planning
  • Focusing on key activities
  • And simply getting to know one another, in an environment totally removed from work.

These are all key elements of a ballroom dancing team building session and are all key team behaviours which will be enhanced and encouraged through a 'Strictly Team Dancing' session.

So get those dancing pumps on, and take to the floor!

The Dancing Stage

Strictly Team Dancing enables each team to step into the limelight and star in their own dancing competition for the afternoon. They will take part in 3 stages:

  • Instruction
  • Practice
  • Competition

Stage 1 Instruction

Under the expert tutelage of the famous instructors, the dancers in each team will be put through their paces, so that whether they show signs of developing into a bit of a John Sergeant or  Peter Schmeichel, or a graceful and elegant Zoe Ball or Lisa Snowden, their performance will gradually start to take shape. Trust and supporting one another will be key in both teams.

Stage 2 Practice

Never was the saying 'practice makes perfect' more true than in the world of dancing, but time is in short supply. Once the moves are agreed, and the routine confirmed the teams will couple up and start to work on polishing their Latin and putting the finishing touches to their Foxtrot.

Stage 3 Competition

The moment of truth! After an afternoon of intense activity, the time for the delegates to demonstrate what they have learned and wow the judges will have arrived. Motivation will be key, and concentration and focus on all of the aims of the team building event will be vital to achieve success.
